METCA 2015 Convention Fundraiser Piggybacks
In preparation for the 2015 TCA National Convention in Somerset, New Jersey, hosted by METCA (the Metropolitan Division of the Train Collectors Association), we are offering these Limited Edition Lionel TOFC’s as a fundraiser to help cover part of the Division’s portion of the expenses. These TOFC's are designed to acknowledge companies that have a long history in the METCA area. Expected delivery is late 2011 or early 2012.

2011 50th Anniversary 6-52574 Fort Knox Mint Car
The 50th Anniversary of METCA, as well as the 50th Anniversary of the introduction of the Fort Knox Mint Car in 1961 were honored by the production of a Lionel Gold Painted Fort Knox Mint Car.
This new Limited Production 6-52574 METCA 50th Anniversary Fort Knox Mint Car is 100% Lionel made and decorated, features die-cast sprung trucks/couplers, a metal brake wheel, a metal frame, and includes Lionel’s FIRST EVER CLEAR bullion bar load. The car came with retro-styled Limited Edition packaging.

2010 New York Central Lightning Strip Mint Car
LIGHTNING STRIPE service could have been the New York Central's next fast freight service, following up on the success of their Pacemaker Freight Service. The METCA Division incorporated certain noteworthy elements from NYC's Lightning Stripe locomotive paint scheme into this new Limited Production METCA Mint Car that includes a load of chrome-plated bullion bars.
2009 52486 and 52487 Pennsylvania Mint Cars (Green and Tuscan)
Raymond Loewy, the famous industrial designer, played a key role in shaping the Pennsylvania Railroad GG-1. Although he never designed a Lionel Mint Car, the METCA Division incorporated certain noteworthy elements from Loewy's landmark design into these, Limited Production METCA Division Mint Cars from Lionel. These cars featured a gold-tone load of bullion bars.

2008 52485 New York Central Pacemaker Mint Car
Our first ever car that was completely produced by Lionel (our previous offerings were overstamped regular production items). Decorated in New York Central's Pacemaker Freight Service color scheme, this Mint Car features Lionel's first ever use of a copper-plated bullion bar load.

1979 9272 New Haven Bay Window Caboose
In 1979, METCA issued this 9272 New Haven Bay Window Caboose. It was over stamped with the METCA logo in gold.

1976 9754 NYC Pacemaker Boxcar
In 1976, METCA issued this 9754 NYC Pacemaker Boxcar. This Boxcar was over stamped with METCA DIVISION & 1976 in Yellow and TCA in Black.
